reputable international Insurance Broking Firm is seeking to employ a Financial
Accountant to join their team of esteemed Professionals.
COMPETENCIES
Technical
University
Degree in Business Administration (Accounting Option) or its equivalent and
ICA/ACCA Level
Knowledge
in financial accounting
Ability
to prepare and interpret balance sheet, income statements, cash flow statements
etc
Proficiency in Microsoft office and any standard
accounting software
Others
High
ethical standards
Ability
to pay attention to details
Ability to establish specific targets
Ability to provide timely guidance and feedback to
help others strengthen knowledge/skills areas needed to accomplish a task or
solve a problem
DUTIES
- Review and update all accounts in the
general ledger and sub ledgers
- Keep and update fixed assets register
and track all movements
- Authorize AP invoice in the system for
cheques to be written
- Prepare and post period end
journals for pre-payment
· Reconcile
all bank accounts and follow up on outstanding issues
·
Formulate financial strategies, policies,
procedures and action plans to achieve maximum growth and profitability of the
company
·
Any other duties
as may be assigned by Supervisor.
